My journey into barbering began in 1989, at just 13 years old. A childhood friend asked me for a haircut, and with nothing but surgical scissors, a comb, and a double-edged razor, I gave him his first complete cut. That moment sparked a passion for creating style and confidence through barbering.
I spent the following years practicing relentlessly, learning from experienced barbers and refining my craft. By the age of 15, I was already working during school vacations at my uncle's barbershop, where I fell in love with the profession and developed my own unique style.
Just ten years after cutting my first haircut, I opened my first barbershop in Gurabo, Santiago de los Caballeros, Dominican Republic. That achievement marked the beginning of an entrepreneurial journey that would lead to multiple barbershops, decades of experience, and the opportunity to serve thousands of clients while helping develop the next generation of barbers.
Where it all started. A small space, big dreams, and the passion to serve.
Growth brought change. A new spot, more chairs, and a stronger bond with our clients.
Bold move. Taking our vision international and setting up shop in the heart of Georgia. New country, same commitment to quality.
Leveling up. From home-based to a full brick-and-mortar location. A major milestone that reflects our growth and commitment to our community.
Second Location — Now Open. The journey continues. Opened in October 2025, bringing the same quality and care to even more clients.
At Chanel Barbershop, every cut is a blend of passion, precision, and a commitment to making each client look and feel their best. I owe my journey to hard work, the support of my community, and above all, God, who blessed me with the talent to create something special.
